About Cullen Point tracks
Cullen Point is on the Havelock end of Queen Charlotte Drive, on the Pelorus Sound side of the hills. DOC maintains two walks from one car park: a short lookout track over Mahau Sound and the Kaituna and Pelorus estuaries, and a longer coastal loop with views of Pelorus Sound and Havelock.
It is about as far from Picton as Havelock itself, so it fits a Picton–Nelson drive or a Havelock day rather than an hour from the ferry.
Know before you go
- Reached along Queen Charlotte Drive from the Havelock end, which reopened after the July 2026 storm before the Picton end did. Check road alerts before you go.
